about Oak Beach
It is continually said (by the locals) that Oak Beach is a “best kept secret” – but that is because it is so small and contained only a few can actually enjoy it! This beautiful 1.6 km stretch of sandy beachfront is lapped by the clean, clear warm waters of the Coral Sea in front with the famous World Heritage rainforests behind.

Oak Beach is a small enclave of just 17 houses that face the beach and less than a dozen are available for rent. Oak Beach has become a destination for discerning travellers, media and film stars who seek the privacy, peace and serenity it offers.

Oak Beach is only 10 minutes south of Port Douglas and 45 minutes north of Cairns Airport. It is a perfect base for visiting the major attractions of Tropical North Queensland, without being in the thick of traffic at Port Douglas.
